Thunder in the Glens first started in August 1996. Apart from one year it has been held in Aviemore on the last weekend in August. It is run by Dunedin HOG Chapter on behalf of Edinburgh Harley-Davidson, Dunedin's sponosring dealership. The rally attracts over 10,000 visiors to the Aviemore and Speyside area during the weekend. Year on year the Rally has grown from strength to strength and attracts headline acts as well as local entertainers. We work with the local community to put on what has been described as the best Chapter run HOG Rally in Europe.
